Ihedioha Vows To Ensure The Completion Of Owerr-P.h Road.

 Deputy Speaker of the federal house of representative, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha In fulfillment of his promise of ensuring the completion of the ongoing construction of Owerri - P.h Road to alleviate the suffering of road users this evening embarked on a schedule of inspection visit to ensure that the contractors have reported to site.
The Deputy Speaker was welcomed and conducted Round the project site by the Site Engineer of Arab Contractors, the construction firm handling the project. He Assured him of his Company's readiness in speeding up the Completion of the Road to meet the 2015 deadline for the Completion of the 35Kilometers Dual Carriage Road.
On his response; Chief Ihedioha assured the people of the determination of the federal government to complete the road project by 2015.
Ihedioha blamed the state governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha of not showing interest on the road project, noting that when the former governor Ohakim was there, he showed a lot of interest on
the project.
He futhered that in the absent of the current governor's corporation and interest, that he had used his good office as the deputy speaker of the federal house of representative to ensure that funds were appropriated to the project.
When asked about the recent statements of the state governor that work was not going on the project site, Ihedioha said that the governor lied and with time, the many lies of governor Okorocha
will come to be false, noting that they were only intended to rubbish the good intentions of the federal government towards the people of Imo state.
Ihedioha was Accompanied by 3 National Assembly Members from Imo state, Hon Joans Onyeriri, Hon Gerald Irona and Hon Rapheal Nnanna Igbokwe . Others are Former Speaker of Imo State house of assembly Rt Hon Kemdi Godfrey Dikeocha Chief Austin Nwokorie and host of others.
Owerri -Elele Road was awarded in 2009 as a regional Project at the cost of 23.5billion Naira with the completion period of 2015.
