Yesterday, Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan, said he will not support anybody above 57 years if he wins 2015 presidential election. While speaking at his rally in Laffia yesterday, he said that youths should participate more in politics. Is he passing a message to his vice? Because Architect Namadi Sambo will be 64 by 2019.
He further said that they are enciuraging the youths because the future is theirs, he also said to the youths that they are the leaders of tomorrow. Therefore, they will not take leadership away from them.
He told the youths in Nasarawa State, that the director-general of his campaign organization, Dr.Ahmadu Ali, promised that his successor will be a younger person and they will keep to that promise. #wewillholdyoutothatpromiseGEJ.

Obasanjo was 70 when he was elected, the late President Yar’Adua was in his early 60s, I am about 60. So the PDP is grading down from Obsanjo to me,” said GEJ.
He also disowned the governorship aspiration of his former minister of information, Labaran Maku, who left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after losing the party’s governorship primaries. The president said he never supported the move.
The President also promised to focus on turning around Nasarawa State due to its proximity to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory
