Baby Abandoned At Stranger’s Door

The kind of news I get from SA is astonishing, especially baby case. A Steenberg resident in Cape Town was surprised to find that the woman who had come knocking to ask for water had abandoned her 17-month old boy at the door.
According to Steenberg police, the resident called them on Tuesday to report that the baby had been left on the doorstep.
“On arrival the police were informed by the owner of the house that a lady came to the house and asked for a glass of water. The owner went to get the water and the lady was standing in front of the door carrying the baby. The owner came back and the mother was gone,” said Constable Noloyiso Rwexana.
“A baby boy wearing a white top, covered with a towel was on the floor. Next to the boy was a plastic bag with a milk bottle and a clinic card.”
According to the clinic card, the baby’s name is Arodi Kasanji. He lives in Retreat.
The baby is currently at a place of safety.
