#Interesting: World's first solar powered plane lands in Ahmedabad

The Solar Impulse 2 prepares to take off at Al Bateen airport in Abu Dhabi on March 9, 2015. The world's first solar powered aircraft, which is on a global flight, landed in Ahmedabad on Tuesday night.

The flight was received with loud cheers and clapping by a large group of people gathered at the airport to witness the historic landing. The aircraft has been built not just to fly around the world without an iota of fuel, but also carry a message demonstrating effectiveness of clean technologies and importance of sustainability.
Solar Impulse 2 took off from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates en route to the Omani capital Muscat at the start of a five-month journey of 35,000 km (22,000 miles) organised to focus the world's attention on sustainable energy
