Former Super Falcons Coach, Uche Eucharia says Men football in Nigeria has lost its shine and urges the current African Queens to step into that vacuum and make their experience at the world level count in Canada.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off next month and Nigeria will face a upheaval task in the group stages against Australia, Sweden and the United States for a place in the knockout rounds.
Regardless, the 2010 African Women’s Championship winning Coach believes that with adequate training and the quality of the team, the world could be up for some rude awakening.
” Men no longer play football, if the girls remain focused and keep a level head and the Coach psych them up the Country will do well in Canada.
” There is hope that Nigeria should do well because we have exposure and experience on our side now, so we have nothing to fear or lose. We only need prepare very well and go out there and confront the rest of the World,” Coach Eucharia told www.footballlive.ng.
