A lawyer in Kenya has offered President Obama an assortment of cows, sheep and goats in return for his teenage daughter’s hand in marriage.
Felix Kiprono (left) said he “got interested” in 16-year-old Malia in 2008 and has been saving himself for her ever since.
Mr Kiprono also said he has shared this with his family and they are willing to help him raise the bride price.
He has also asked that Malia join the president on his next visit to the country, at which point he would pop the question on a hill in Bureti “where leaders and warriors are usually crowned.” He said he was not after the Obama’s money and that his love was real - adding that they would lead a simple life as man and wife.
Mr Kiprono said: "I will teach Malia how to milk a cow, cook ugali (maize porridge) and prepare mursik (a traditional sour milk) like any other Kalenjin woman."
