Caitlyn Jenner Scores $5 Million Payday For E! Docuseries ‘I Am Cait’

Although E! wanted to keep a tight leash over what to pay Caitlyn Jenner for its upcoming docuseries “I Am Cait,” the reality show starlet ended up walking away with much more.

From what insiders tell RadarOnline.com, Jenner took home $5 million for “I am Cait,” $1 million more than what she paid to become a woman.
“It’s the biggest paycheck ever given by E! for a solo reality show, and Caitlyn’s agent was relentless in getting her the huge payday,” an insider told the site. “At one point, talks between the network and E! had broken down, because nobody wanted to pay her more than $2 million. Caitlyn’s agent then began informal talks with other networks, and E! quickly came back to the table, ready to pay $5 million.”
Well, that’s nice and all. Especially for the folks suing Jenner over that what happened in that fatal car accident she was a part of last February. Radar notes the lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles earlier this week by the driver of the Prius that Jenner’s Escalade rear-ended in Malibu on February 7, Jessica Steindorff, who named “Bruce Jenner aka, Caitlyn Jenner” as the defendant.
Steindorff’s suit follows a wrongful death lawsuit related to the crash that was filed against Jenner by the stepchildren of Kimberly Howe. Howe was killed in the car accident. The stepchildren’s suit was filed in May.
As it stands now, Jenner has yet to face formal charges for the crash. Nevertheless, the former Olympian could be hurting financially from it all as his, or rather, her current auto insurance plan only covers up to $250,000.
