15-year old gangster arrested for murder

A 15-year old boy who is believed to be a member of the Fire Boys gang was arrested for murder in Thabong on Monday, after he allegedly stabbed to death a member of a rival gang, Free State police said on Tuesday.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Mamello Mokhuoane, the teen suspect and a fellow gang member allegedly stabbed a 30-year old man who is believed to be a member of the TDK gang.
It’s alleged Simon Motseko Lenka was stabbed in the neck and then hanged on the devil’s fork fence not far from his home in Themba.
Police on patrol discovered the body and arrested the teenager after receiving information from eyewitnesses.

“The 15 year-old suspect’s father gave police a written statement that he did not want to take responsibility of his child. He was detained after the necessary procedures according to the Children`s Act were followed as he is a minor,” said Mokhuoane.
He will appear at the Welkom Magistrate court on Wednesday.
A second suspect was still on the run.
