Nigeria moved up one spot in the FIFA Women’s World Ranking released Today, the country climbed to 37 retaining its position as the best team in Africa 10 places above Cameroon.
The Super Falcons will miss the 2016 Olympic Games no thanks to Equatorial Guinea, who are in 4th place.
Zimbabwe’s climbed the most places (9) largely thanks to a surprise victory at home against Cameroon.
Meanwhile, South Africa (1431) are among 6 teams with the most improved; best-ever scores.
And Malawi was the only nation to re-enter the ranking, while eight nations slid out of the ranking due to prolonged inactivity, reducing the number of ranked countries from 147 to 140.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking will be published on 25 March 2016.
