Following Nigeria’s ouster from the 2016 African Nations Championship, former Super Eagles captain and now Delta State FA Chairman, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has called for support for the coach.
Okocha who admits the national team is expressing one of its worst down time says it’s ‘ nothing to be ashamed of,’ but the team must dig its heels in, while hoping Oliseh remains the best man to chart Nigeria back on course to dominance.
” We are going through a rough period, but, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. We just need to battle back and get back to where we belong.
” We can’t judge him by the outcome of CHAN, rather we should encourage and support him; let him do his thing and hopefully he’s the right person to take us to where we want to be,” Okocha told footballlive.ng.
