Member of the Nigeria Football Federation’s Technical Committee, Paul Bassey has disclosed that stakeholders across Africa in Kigali are still shocked at Nigeria’s elimination from the CHAN 2016.Nigeria showed promised after an emphatic 4-1 win over Niger and a much labored 1-1 result against 2011 champions Tunisia. Oliseh’s men had topped the group c going into the final round of group matches but stumbled allowing Guinea and Tunisia progress.
Bassey , who is also the coordinator of the Championship, in a chat with footballlive.ng argues that the outcome of Sunday Oliseh’s first major competition with the National team means Nigerians should be worried about the Country’s chances ahead of the Gabon 2017 AFCON qualifiers against Egypt in March.
