Super Eagles Team Coordinator, Patrick Pascal has disclosed that the team will return to the Country on Thursday after their elimination from the 2016 African Nations Championship.Nigeria lost 1-0 to debutants Guinea on Tuesday, courtesy Ibrahima Sankhona’s 45th minute goal.
Speaking footballlive.ng, Pascal said the players and officials remain sad and distraught following the Nigeria’s exit in the first round of the competition.
” The team is coming back on Thursday, nobody is happy. Our boys did not play well in the first half but came back strong in the other half. If we played like we did in the last 30 minutes we would have earned something from it.
” The players cried after the game but when you are out you are out and nothing can bring the opportunity back.”
