A 15-year-old girl was saved from a near drowning at Mini Beach on the South Coast on Saturday. The girl was allegedly swept out to sea by a strong current.
Amanzimtoti fire services saved the girl from the water and started CPR.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene a took over CPR and found that the girl’s vital signs were improving.
They then transported her to Prince Mshiyeni Hospital for further treatment.
The actual cause of the incident remains unknown.
