Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode is a big fan of Barcelona football club, he recently welcomed the football club into Lagos state.

It is indeed a thing of joy that Lagos will be home to FC Barcelona's first Football Academy in Africa. I believe strongly that this development will discover, nurture and develop our grassroots talents into world class footballers in the class of Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta Luján" he said.
