Pope Francis greeted Lizzy Meyer and blessed her, putting his hands on her eyes at the end of Wednesday general audience at St Peter's Square. The young beautiful girl suffers from a syndrome that will take away her hearing and gradually make her blind her parents want to do as much as they can to make her see nice things before it happens.
The family of Lizzy Meyer has received generous offers to make them show her much more in the short time before her sight fails. The general manager of Turkish Airline was touched by Lizzy's story and offered her round-trip ticked to anywhere in the world. Lizzy's family chose Rome and met the holy-father.
