Lack of fuel and non payment of monthly allowance frustrates NYSC members

It is no longer news that “fuel “is very scarce in Nigeria now. Nigeria is known to be one of the largest oil producing country in Africa.
Citizens of Nigeria are suffering in order to get fuel, some fight at the petrol stations while others pay through their noses just  get fuel.
A liter of fuel sells between N220.00 to N400 for one liter and the annoying part is that the meters are so bad that when you buy 30 liters of fuel it will turn out to be 15 or 20 liters. That’s how bad it is.
Now the problem is that corps members who left their comfort zones to places they have not been to before are in a serious suffer. Price of things has skyrocketed and transportation is one of them. This morning I witnessed a lot of them were stranded and seriously crying over high transportation fare.
From what I gathered, where they used to pay N100.00 to is now N400.00. Check the price of food and other products in the market.  The monthly allowance each corps member gets is N19,800, today is April 6th and Federal Government has not paid them. Life is really difficult for them now and FG need to do something without wasting time.  85% of them don’t get extra pay at their various places of primary assignment. I wanted some of them to talk to me but it is obvious Youth Corps Members don’t grant interviews during.
