SPORTS: San Lorenzo's Mercier blasts Real Madrid 'wimps.

The 34-year-old has accused Los Blancos of going to ground far too easily in Saturday's meeting in Marrakech, claiming the European champions are not used to "physical contact"
San Lorenzo midfielder
Juan Mercier has labelled
Real Madrid's players "wimps" for allegedly diving constantly in the Fifa Club World Cup final.
Los Blancos secured their fourth trophy of the year with a 2-0 win over the Copa Libertadores winners in Morocco, with Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale netting in an often ill-tempered game that produced six yellow cards.
However, Mercier has defended San Lorenzo's approach to the game, arguing that Carlo Ancelotti's men are overprotected.
"Every time you touched one of the wimps, they went tumbling over," the 34-year-old is reported as saying on Argentine radio by
MARCA.
"You went in hard to close them down - foul. You threw yourself into a challenge - foul. They should come and play over here for a while.
"We played the way we know how. They're not used to physical contact."
Mercier did, however, reserve praise for the attacking trident of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, admitting they were difficult to pick up on the field.
"You realise that the three forwards never stand still for a moment. They run in front of you, then behind you, then one comes into the picture and another drifts away," he added.
"They're constantly on the move. The other day they didn't play the way we're used to from when we watch them on the television."
