Mr Kaliba on Tuesday said the land located on Block 72, Block 73 in Kabarole District among others will be leased out for development. He said the kingdom is leasing the land to allow people acquire titles and get loans from banks to enable them develop strong businesses.
Mr Kaliba said this position was reached after the amendment of the land policy in the kingdom and also instituting a trustworthy land committee which will spearhead leasing of land.
"The Kingdom wants its subjects to start projects on the land that will create employment opportunities to the people and make them proud of their kingdom," Mr Kaliba explained. The kingdom premier further said private investors will also be encouraged to promote tourism in Tooro by setting up infrastructure like hotels.
