InsideKenya: Kilifi Buries Woman 'Tortured to Death' in Saudi Arabia

A woman who died in Saudi Arabia where she worked as a domestic help was on Saturday buried at her Sokoke home in Ganze, Kilifi county.
Ansila Kafedha's family suspect she was tortured to death.
Her funeral was attended by Ganze MP Peter Shehe, Kilifi assembly deputy speaker Teddy Mwambire, Ganze MCA Japhet Nzaro and Kilifi county MYWO chairlady Witness Tsuma.
Her family said Kafedha was beaten up and mistreated by her employer.
A torture video of a woman believed to be Kafedha was posted on the internet.
In the video, Kafedha is hanged from the roof upside down and flogged by several people. Family spokesman Anderson Charo said the woman is crying and begging for mercy in that video.
"Though I could not see her face, the voice was hers," said Charo.
Shehe said Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi should be held responsible over the plight of Kenyans working in the Middle East countries.
He said he has written to National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi to direct the Labour and Social Welfare Committee to summon Kambi.
