Bishop Mathew Ikuka to be conferred with honorary degree of Doctor of Law today.

The Ebonyi State University, Ebonyi will confer the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Dioces, Mathew Kukah, with an honorary degree of Doctor of Law(Hon.LLD Honoris Causa), today April 25th 2015. The University Chancellor, Dr. Francis Idike, said the honour is in recognition of the bishop's commitment to social justice and development of the country. According tohim, the Senate of the University has approved that Kukah be conferred with the honorary degree of Ebonyi State university during its 4th-6th convocation ceremony, "in recognition and appreciation of his monumental cobtributions to the sustenance of justice, rule of law, equity, fairness and peace across the country and the world at large".
He added that the university senate has also deemed it expedient to nominate him to deliver the convocation lecture which held yesterday friday, 24th 2015.
