A group called Niger Delta Youth Vanguard for APC, has described the new president-elect as an Oracle Pathfinder and a disciplinarian. The group said that most of the Major infrastructural development in Niger Delta region were done during the reign of Notherners and they strongly believes that Niger Deltans will immensely benefit from the administration of President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari. The president of the group, Mr. Fredrick Ujobolo, stated this yesterday Tuesday, April 28, that they were convinced that Buhari will out-perform his northern predecessors in the development of the country, especially the Niger Delta region.
The body highlighted the Amnesty programme introduced by late former President Umaru Yar-Adua, as well as the creation of Niger Delta Ministry as evidence of the fact that the Hausas actually meant well for Niger Delta.
They also said that General Sani Abacha created Bayelsa State for the Ijaw which has given them a voice and a pride in their existence in Nigeria.
Ujobolo said: “We believe Gen. Buhari will prove to Nigerians that he is not what people say he is. Buhari is a man of integrity and credibility. God will bless, guide and protect him and his administration
