Award-winning author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie gave the Commencement Address at Wellesley College's 137th Commencement on May 29 2015. She delivered the 2015 Commencement Speech at the world’s leading women's university, Wellesley College in Massachusetts, USA. Previous commencement speakers at Wellesley include Hillary Clinton and former US Secretary of State Madeline Albright- who are alumni of Wellesley- as well as Maya Angelou, Gloria Steinem and Oprah Winfrey. Her speech to the graduates was described by Marianne Cooley -the Secretary of The Board of Wellesley and an alumna herself -as ‘one of our classics’. As a tribute to Chimamanda, every member of the graduating class was given a gift by Wellesley of a copy of Chimamanda’s famous 2013 “We Should All Be Feminists” TEDx talk, which has been published in the US and around the world as a book.Watch it here
