Ex International, Emeka Ezeogu ha slammed the critics of his former teammate and now Coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi.
The Nigeria Football Federation handed Keshi a new 2-year contract in April but like before the move attracted the consternation of a section of the football sector but Ezeugo argues the criticsms are arsh.
According to the former Super Eagles defender, Keshi’s achievements as Coach of Nigeria’s senior team speaks volume of his quality and shouldn’t be judged entirely on the basis of the Country’s failure to qualify for the 2015 AFCON.
” Keshi has been there and done it all, I don’t know why people can’t see that he’s done well, because he couldn’t qualify the team for the African Cup of Nations does not mean he’s washed out as a Coach and can’t do well no more.
” (Vincente) Del Bosque won the World Cup in South Africa and four years later he couldn’t even qualify beyond the first round. He’s still in charge of the team and nobody is criticizing him in Spain about the mess in Brazil,” Ezeugo explained.
