Tomorrow
is Childrens Day and children in Nigeria, will join others in the world to mark
2015 International Children’s Day
tommorow, May 27th 2015. The Incoming first lady of Nigeria, Mrs.
Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, has guaranteed Nigerians and the Nigerian children that
the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari’s government will put more emphasis on
the development of the Nigerian Child and that education will be the trust of
her husband’s government.
She
released a statement to mark this year’s International Children’s
Day tomorrow, May 27.
Hear what
she said, “Education is going to be the main focus of the incoming APC
government. Our children are our future and education of our children is the
best way to secure the future of our country.”
Mrs
Buhari also calls for the speedy implementation of the Child Rights Act which
has been passed by the National Assembly, but yet to be adopted by several
states.
The wife
of the President-elect also said that, despite the need to eradicate the menace
of insecurity in the country and restoring normalcy in the north east there is
need to encourage our children to return to school and making schools safer.
She
further extended her best wishes to children all over the country with
specially reference to the less privileged.
