Floyd Mayweather has made an apparent U-Turn and said that he won’t delay his retirement to face Manny Pacquiao in a rematch.

In an interview that will be aired on Showtime television on Saturday, Mayweather explained that he did tell ESPN’s Stephen A Smith he would grant Pacquiao a rematch, but has since changed his mind.

Mayweather dismissed the Filipino southpaw’s right shoulder injury despite Pacquiao being forced to undergo surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff.

“Absolutely not,” Mayweather said. “He was fast. His left hand was fast. His right hand was fast and he was throwing them both fast and strong.”

“He lost. He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this.”

Mayweather went on to explain that there will be no rematch because he considers Pacquiao to be a “sore loser.”

“At this particular time, no, because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward… If you lost, accept the loss and say, ‘Mayweather, you were the better fighter,'” said Mayweather.

Mayweather is set to fight his last fight before retiring in September this year against a still-to-be-named opponent.
