With Nigeria’s sole survivors in CAF competitions this season, Warri Wolves FC billed to clash with AC Léopards of Congo-Brazzaville in the play-off round of the Confederation Cup member of Nigeria Football Federation’s Technical Committee and CAF instructor on club licensing, Paul Bassey has warned that the tie is not as easy as many may imagine and will require the NPFL club to act expediently.
Speaking to www.footballlive.ng Bassey served a dossier of the Congolese side’s organisation and tricky terrain while also revealing how organised Wolves should be ahead of the tie.
” Warri Wolves have to prepare well for AC Léopards. I know of only one good hotel in Dolisie, therefore if the new CAF rules says you must make your own hotel arrangements Warri Wolves should be able to move now.
” I know only one airline that travels to Point Noire just twice a week. That means you must start making booking arrangements to find out whether even those two days tally with their plans.
” So The Management of Warri Wolves should now get ready and most importantly map out their plans, ensure the squad gets to Dolisie early. Find out what the conditions of the city is and the pitch; if its an artificial turf or grass and so on.
Brila sports.
