Four men suspected to be sea pirates have been nabbed by men of Joint Task Force, known as operation Pulo Shield. The coordinator, Joint Media Campaign Centre, Lieutenant Colonel Isa Ado, told news men in Bayelsa that the four men were arrested at Mbiriki and Nembe water ways in Bayelsa State.
Lieutenant Colonel Isa, said the suspected sea pirates take advantage of the difficult terrain and maneuver in the creek to carry out their operations. He further said the arrest of these men will ensure the safety of the waterways and conducive for voyage and other economic activities in the region.
The Colonel also urged the people of Bayelsa State to help the commnaders zero tolerance against illegalities by giving useful information to enable the task force track miscreants in the Niger Delta region.
