Clean environment good for attracting investors ─ LASG

He explained that human beings daily generated waste which must be disposed daily, adding that general cleaning had enhanced the aesthetics of the Lagos environment.
Ogunbambi also advised Lagosians to monitor the drainage channels, saying since the rainy season was at its peak, any impediment to the movement of rainwater could be dangerous.

He said, "Everybody must desist from dumping waste inside drainage channels and shun acts compromising drainage alignment, such as building and erection of structures on drainage setbacks, among others.

"Residents who still patronise cart pushers are working against the waste management policy of the government because whatever waste the cart pushers collect ends up inside canals, which eventually cause flooding."

Ogunbambi said anybody that refused to comply with the government's restriction of movement order would be prosecuted.

He added that law enforcement agencies had been mobilised to enforce the restriction.
