Lautech Student Dies on Pitch While Playing Football.

The awful death of Fatai Morenikeji, a student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology(LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.


According to City People, Morenike who suddenly died on the football pitch, has thrown the university community into mourning.

The deceased, a 400 level student of Chemical Engineering, was playing football with his friends, when he slumped and died.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin, reacting to the occurrence, commiserated with the students who gathered in front of the Senate Building of the university.

Gbadegesin also expressed his sympathy with the parents of the deceased, while he immediately inaugurated an investigative panel to probe issues surrounding the incident, with a view to forestalling a future occurrence.

 A 3 days mourning period has been declared to mourn the late Morenikeji.
