For Kenya Moore, the answer varies as she sees slim pickings for black women who choose to only date black men.
For Kenya Moore, the answer varies as she sees slim pickings for black women who choose to only date black men.
“For
Black women, we just have to be open because there’s not a lot of
eligible bachelors, that are Black, for us to choose from anymore,”
Moore told Hello Beautiful regarding why she believes options are
limited for sisters who date within their own race.
To
hammer in her point, MadameNoire.com noted that the reality TV fixture
even cited statistics that allege that dating options for black women
decrease significantly once you take away the black men who are gay,
unemployed, in jail and interested in women of other races.
“If
you take away the ones that are gay, in jail, this is a real issue.
Statistics show why we don’t have the choices. You take the ones that
are gay, in jail, don’t have a job, the ones that are already married
and the ones that are dating and marrying outside our race, what do you
have left? You don’t have much to choose from.,” said Moore, who voiced
her approval for interracial dating.
“The nicest thing is that you have options.”
