There Is a Serious Amoeba Eating Up People In Florida.

One woman got more than she bargained for when she took a pair of tweezers to a scab on her leg.
In a seriously stomach-churning moment, the lady yanks and pulls at the point on her thigh before realising it's actually a live parasite.
Well and truly buried into her skin, the woman gives the animal a good yank but, alas, it doesn't come easily.

After more than a minute of digging and prodding with the tweezers, the parasite reared its head and he pulled the creature free from her thigh.
The animal leaves a hole in the poor lady's leg, big enough to make an impact visibly.
The brave woman was tugging at the parasite for over a minute
Shannon Shields uploaded the rather disgusting video on June 18 - calling it 'Removal of monster...something from my leg'.
YouTube users have had a field day commenting on the viral video, talking about identifying the creature pulled out of the leg.
One user said: "Did you ever figure out what that was? A dead tick?"
Another added: "Sweet mother of jesus... O.o"
The news comes as it was revealed last week there is a fatal amoeba lurking in Florida holiday hotspots.
The amoeba - called Naegleria fowleri - shows symptoms much the same to meningitis, meaning treatment is often misdiagnosed.
The Jordan Smelski foundation - an American charity set up in tribute to a young boy who lost his life to the amoeba - is fighting for more people to understand the risks of swimming in open lakes and pools around the world.
While this parasite seemed to be quite a simple creature, it would seem the dangers of unknown organisms is unprecedented at the minute.
