POLICE RESCUED UNDERGRADUATE FEMALE LURED BY KIDNAPPERS VIA INTERNET, SUSPECTS ARRESTED (DELTA STATE)

Police received a report that a female student of Delta State University, Abraka (name withheld) has been kidnapped by a gang that lured her via internet. That the said kidnap syndicate holding the victim against her will has demanded a ransom of Seven Hundred Thousand Naira (N700,000). A rescue operation involving different Police units was immediately launched.

On 24.07.2015 at about 6:00am, Police operatives tracking the gang stormed their hideout at De-Philips Guest House along Dennis Osadebe Way, Asaba where the victim was safely rescued. Two of her captures; Eru Christian ‘m’ aged 24yrs and Ezema Michael ‘m’ aged 25yrs were arrested at the scene. Two Sim cards and three mobile phones recovered. Efforts on to apprehend other gang members. State CIID Asaba is investigating.
