On 26th July, 2015 at about 5:00pm, Police operatives from Ukpor Division investigating a case of threat to life against a man who allegedly threatened to kill his wife and son over family dispute stormed the house of the suspect at Nzaggha Ukpor in Nnewi South LGA to execute a search warrant. One single barrel English-made gun was recovered during the search. The house of a friend and accomplice of the suspect located at Umudim in Nnewi North LGA was also searched and one double barrel gun, one Pump Action gun with four rounds of cartridges, one Military riffle with 27 rounds were recovered. Suspects and exhibits are with State CIID Akwa where investigations are ongoing.
