Kidnapping is becoming rampant in this country.
A Minna based hotelier and Director of Phoenix Hotel Limited, Chief Cletus Ojukwu has been kidnapped by a gang of six gun men at his home in Suleja, Niger State at about 8pm today.
The kidnappers wanted to take away Ojukwu’s wife but for lack of space in their vehicle, they left her behind. The Police Public Relations Officer in the Niger State Police Command, Bala Elkana, confirmed the kidnap of the Anambra-born businessman and says the police is investigating the matter.
Elkana added that the police were doing everything possible to ensure that the hotelier was rescued alive, saying the family of the victim was in touch with the kidnapper
