West knows just how to steal the show, since his unforgettable interruption at the 2009 VMA’s, when he interrupted singer Taylor Swift’s speech to rant about how “Beyoncé had the best video of all time”. This year he one upped himself, announcing he will run for president in 2020. Cue slow clap.
The ‘I Am A God’ rapper rambled on in his acceptance speech about juice, listening to the kids, how he doesn’t understand award shows, and saying “bro” after every other word.
In the past West has compared himself to the likes of Michael Jackson, Maya Angelou, Picasso, Shakespeare and Nelson Mandela – but it’s no secret West’s biggest fan is, well, himself.
If anything, the rapper knows how to get a reaction and that’s exactly what this speech got.
