The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Plateau Command, has deployed 2,000 officers and men to ensure peaceful Eid-El-Kabir in the state.
This is contained in statement signed by the corps Public Relations Officer in the state, Naomi Cishak, and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Jos.
The statement urged the general public to be law abiding and avoid acts that could bring them in collision with the law during the celebration scheduled for Thursday, September 24.
"We want to assure the general public that NSCDC and other security agencies have put in place necessary strategies to ensure a peaceful Eid-El-Kabir.
"We also want to use this medium to call on citizens of Plateau to report to the security agencies, any movement suspected to have the potential of threatening the peace and security of the state," the statement said.
