BATTLE OF SUCCESSION TEARS IMO DEPUTY GOVERNOR, SSG APART

You know they are used to free money that is why they fight to be there.

Just as the Governor of Imo State is yet to settle down to his second term in office, some of his closest aides and associates are already slugging it out with one another over who succeeds the Governor.

At the forefront of this succession tussle are the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Jude Ejiogu and the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere (MFR). Reliable sources from the Imo State Government squeal that the two top government functionaries are already at each others' jugular, with each person devising all the Machiavellian strategies towards outdoing the other.
Major weapons in their war-chaste are propaganda and blackmail, as they plant their men very close to the Governor with the intent to feed the Governor with all forms of bad stories against the other, while also recruiting some fifth columnists in both local and national media platforms to dent the image of their rival, while projecting their own image.

Investigations show that while the Governor shares a seemingly unbreakable bond with the Deputy Governor, and may have thought in the direction of handing over to him after the expiration of his tenure, he is becoming uncomfortable with Madumere's open pursuit of his gubernatorial ambition in this early stage of his second tenure. The Governor had in the past alluded to such possibility when he referred to the Prince of Mbieri as his beloved son in whom he is well pleased. He also went further to say that he will hand over to him whenever he is tired.

Reliable Government House sources reveal that Chief Jude Ejiogu is more daring in pursuing his gubernatorial ambition, as he uses the instrumentality of his office to 'deal' with anyone suspected to be close to the Deputy Governor or seen to be useful to his political aspiration. Some top appointees of the State Government complain that they are being victimized by the office of the SSG, because of their connections to the Deputy Governor.

When contacted, a source close to the Deputy Governor confided in Yours Sincerely that while the Deputy Governor is eminently qualified to aspire to the highest office in the State, he does not think that the Mbieri Prince is yet considering that option, as he is fully committed to helping his boss and mentor, Governor Okorocha deliver on his second term promises.
IMO GA ADI MMA OZO!
