representing Imo East in the National Assembly and the Chairman Senate
Committee on Ethics and Privileges, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has defeated his
challengers again. The seasoned lawmaker and politician, coming from a solid
legislative background, having served in the Imo State House of Assembly for
two consecutive terms, is clearly enjoying the solidarity of his people.
Samdaddy as he is popularly known by his supporters is especially popular
among the youths of his senatorial district and beyond, as he is said to be very
accommodating, accessible, intelligent and generous.
The Tribunal dismissed the case brought before it by a former House of
Representatives member and APC chieftain, Onyeagucha Uche, who was
defeated in the nine LGAs that make up Owerri zone, including his LGA of origin
and the other two LGAs he represented from 2003 to 2007.
It is expected that the dispensation of this case will enable the Ikeduru born
legislator concentrate on the business of lawmaking and devise ways to offer
his people effective representation with his position as a Senator.
