USA Today reports that the songs on 25 are at a maturity level that is closer to thirty-five or even forty-five, rather than Adele’s twenty-seven years. Adele’s reason for that? Her son. Now 3-years-old, Adele said her son, Angelo, is the reason she has grown up.
“[My son is] the main reason I’ve grown up. I hope as he gets older, I have a little me time as well.”
Adele also made it clear that until Angelo is old enough to decide for himself whether he wants to be in the spotlight, she and her partner (and Angelo’s dad), Simon Konecki, will keep him out of it.
“I don’t want that for [Angelo] until he can start making his own decisions. Right now he can choose if he wants a bag of crisps or a banana, but he can’t make a choice about being in the public eye. If when he’s 16 he wants to be known for being my child, he can do that. But right now he’s very much a minor, and we have vowed to make that decision for him.”
