Sen Uche Ekwunife who is battling to retain her seat in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, today visited government house Owerri, according to the source she visited to lobby the Governor and Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha ahead of APC Senatorial primary election coming up next week.
Addressing reporters shortly after seeing the Governor, Ekwunife opined that her defection to the APC was to strengthen it in Anambra state. She poured encomiums on IMO state Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha over his vision of hooking Ndigbo into the mainstream of Nigeria’s politics, calling him a man of vision.
She capped it up by urging others to follow her footsteps and join APC now for the betterment of Ndigbo, maintaining that she is the people's candidate or choice in the upcoming senatorial rerun in Anambra state.
