Another newborn discovered in pit toilet, alive

 
A newborn baby was discovered on Saturday afternoon inside a pit toilet in Shaka’s Head, near Ballito.
The child was found alive, with his placenta and umbilical cord still attached.
He was found near a community centre in the area.

Netcare911 paramedics were alerted by residents in the area around 16.00, spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said.

The infant was currently being treated at a nearby hospital.
