Sotherby's
has released a five-minute video tour of Sycamore Valley Ranch -
formally Michael Jackson's Neverland home - after it failed to sell
since going on the market back in May last year.
The
dramatic footage is set to the soundtrack of Jackson's hit Man in the
Mirror, which may seem at odds with the realtor's decision last July to
strip 'Michael's memory' from the property.
Last summer, estate agent Sotherby's International Realty reverted back to the ranch's original name.
Suzanne
Perkins, who is managing the sale for Sotherby's, told DailyMail.com
this decision was so as not to 'capitalize on Michael's estate
She added that it was out of deference to the Jackson family.
Perkins said that while there have been some interested buyers, none has completed in a sale.
In
this most recent listing, complete with spectacular drone footage,
there is no reference to the late singer or his colorful additions,
which have been stripped from the property.
It
was once home to a fairground and a zoo, but these have long been
removed - along with Michael's elephants and beloved monkey Bubbles.
Neverland,
which was named for J.M. Barrie’s tale Peter Pan about a boy who
refused to grow up, has stood empty since Jackson’s death in 2009.
The
property is described as 'the ultimate ranch retreat', 'designed by
Robert Altevers for William Bone in a French Normandy-style and
meticulously crafted to perfection in 1982'.
