Two British teens, aged 13 and 14, are currently on trial
for the brutal murder of 39-year-old Angela Wrightson of Hartlepool,
County Durham, who was found dead in her home with “blood and broken
furniture all over the living room.” According to the NY Daily News,
on December 7, 2014 at approximately 7:15 p.m., two teen girls
allegedly let themselves into Wrightson’s home and attacked her two
hours later.
It was determined that Wrightson was attacked around 9 p.m., after she was seen alive, but battered in a Snapchat photo posted by the girls. However, what led up to the five-hour attack remains a mystery. Prosecutor Nicholas Campbell stated that it was evident Wrightson was a victim of an attack as she sustained well over 100 injuries to her body. “The evidence at the scene of the crime showed she had been assaulted in 12 different locations within that room,” and it was also determined that she tried to fight back.
