
Arrest of suspect for attempted murder and stealing. Operatives of Imo State Police Command have nabbed one Pastor Delight Arinze Okorie, Pastor in-charge Watered Ground Ministry, Atta Nnenasa in Njaba LGA for attempted murder. The Pastor prophesied that one Chioma Oleka, a member of the church is possessed by mamaid spirit. On 21/5/2016 Pastor Delight Arinze Okorie lured Chioma Oleka to Nwangele river in Nwangele LGA with the lady's Lexus Jeep registered in River State with plate No. KPR - 243 - HF for prayers and deliverance.
In the cause of deliverance exercise, the Pastor pushed the lady into the river to drawn. As the lady could not drawn, he went into the vehicle, pulled a cutlass and gave the lady several matchet cuts all over her body with intent to kill her. The victim collapsed and the Pastor thought she has died and escaped with the Lady's Jeep. A Police patrol team attached to Nwangele Police station while on patrol, sighted the victim lying beside the river, picked her to the hospital where she was revived. She is presently receiving treatment in the hospital. Following the description of the suspect and painstaking manhunt, suspect Pastor Delight Arinze Okorie was arrested on 25/5;2016 at Orlu and the Lady's Lexus Jeep recovered from him. He has made useful statement to the Police confessing to the crime and stating that it was the work of Satan. Investigation is in progress and he would be charged to court for attempted murder and stealing. Be wise, don't be deceived, be security conscious all the time.
Situation Report from Imo State Police Command: Further to my daily Situation Report of 31/5/2016, yesterday Monday late evening, there was attempt to kidnap one Bishop Ezeugo at Avu Owerri West LGA, the police orderly attached to the Bishop gave the kidnappers serious fight before they retreated into nearby bush with bullets wounds. This morning the Police orderly and vigilante of the area returned to combed the bush with hope of arresting the wounded suspects but only recovered One Ak 47 rifle no 03781 With 3 Magazines and 58 rounds of ammunition No injury on the part of the Bishop and the Police. The civilian driver of the Bishop that sustained bullet injury on his leg is currently responding to treatment. Investigation has commenced. Efforts in top gear to apprehend the perpetrators of the nefarious crime. The Imo State Police is working, support and cooperate with them in given useful information that could help fight crimes in our society.
