On Tuesday July 12, 2016 mysterious fire gutted a house located at house8, Oduobi Crescent ,Ikenegbu layout in Owerri capital city as unidentified fire ravaged the three storey building in the early hours of Tuesday.
An eyewitness identified as Chukwuemeka spoke with J4Reporters, Read what Mr. Chukwuemeka a resident of the area said....
"Fire started from the first floor...those living there have gone to work,locked their doors making it difficult for entrants".
Not too long,a young lady was hurried out of the building,she lost consciousness, but was later revived.
Many of the residents who turned out to offer voluntary assistance to quail the inferno said they had expected speedy responds by Imo Fire Service,adding that,if they had arrived much earlier,the light wouldn't have spread.
However,as at the time of filing this report,the fire was successfully extinguished by men of the Imo Fire Service and the situation brought under control.
The public should endeavour to switch off all electrical appliances before leaving home, as well as,avoid storing flammable substances like fuel and kerosene to evert dangers such as this.
