This happened in a neighbourhood in Owerri Imo state Nigeria, a young man identified as Kelechi from Umuoba from a suburb town to Owerri, Uratta, Owerri North LGA alleged broke into electronics shop in Nwaturuocha Street IKENEGBU, Owerri, where he allegedly attempted to escape with some laptops before eagle eyes saw him and raised an alarm.
Kelechi was later apprehended in the act by the members of the neighbourhood around 5:30pm yesterday evening and was heavily pounced on and nearly burnt alive by the ragging crowd before succour came his way .Some youths around the neighbourhood who may have identified Kelechi had mercy on him and alerted security operatives that swiftly rescued and took him to the police station.
