The Nigeria Football Federation Technical Committee Chairman, Barrister Chris Green has said he least expects head Coach of Nigeria’s Dream Team VI, Samson Siasia to raise any alarm over the absence of some invited foreign based players despite receiving counsel on the availability of the said players for the Olympics.
Nigeria opens its account at the Rio 2016 Olympic Men’s Football Tournament against Japan on August 4 but while camping has since commenced, several key names on Siasia’s 35-man provisional list have either failed to report to the Atlanta camp or their clubs denied them participating at the games outright.
Green however stated that the Federation is also looking to help the Coach secure players whose clubs are willing to listen to requests made.
