Donald Trump once boldly promised that, if elected, “we’ll have so much winning, you’ll get bored with winning.” Based on Trump's epic record of losing, his promise appears to be, quite simply, a bunch of bluster.
Case in point: Trump's battle against a proposed Scottish wind farm. The farm will sit right off-shore from one of Trump's golf courses. The wind farm will, of course, ruin the view of the golfers.
Who could have known this would happen? None other than Donald Trump.
The wind farm was planned well before Trump bought the property. Trump gambled he could stop the plans - and, like his casinos, he lost big.
Trump lodged an objection to the wind farm in 2011, fearing, most likely correctly, that the view of giant turbines would compromise profits from his golf course. Trump lost.
Trump then launched a legal challenge in 2013. Trump lost.
Trump appealed -- and lost again.
Trump took the matter to the U.K. Supreme Court in 2015. Trump lost.
Despite supporting Brexit, Trump has promised to take his case to the European Court -- where he will lose. The European Court has no power to overrule the U.K. Supreme Court.
Remember - Trump knew -- or should have known -- of these plans prior to investing millions into what could likely be yet another failed project of Trumpian proportions.
So much for "so much winning". When Trump promises "so much winning", he's just an empty windbag.
