Fenerbahçe striker Emmanuel Emenike will not be moving to the United Arab Emirates or China next season, but will focus on joining a major European club, his former manager Yücel Ildız has said.
Ildiz was Emenike's manager at Karabükspor where the powerful forward first made a name for himself.
The Super Eagles player is expected to leave Turkish giants Fenerbahçe after a disappointing season.
The former Russia-based player scored only five goals in 34 league appearances last season in all competitions for Fenerbahçe .
Emenike has also attracted interest from the UAE and China, but Ildız believes he will not leave Europe this summer.
Ildız said on Sporx TV, "Emenike is seriously preparing to be transferred. This transfer will allow Fenerbahce to recover from the transfer fee paid for the striker (because) he can fetch as much as €15m, maybe more.
"He will join a top European league over the summer, a club like Chelsea perhaps. He will not be moving to China, Dubai or Qatar,"
The 28-year-old had been linked with Tottenham, Arsenal, West Ham and a number of Russian clubs in the past seasons.
Tottenham were linked with a €10m move in January but nothing came out of the speculation.
Emenike, who won the Highest Goal Scorer award at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, has also been left out of the Eagles following his poor scoring form at his club.
