Mahama's Gov't lacks credibility - Amoako Baah.

Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Richard Amoako Baah has opined that the Mahama-led administration lacks credibility in the eyes of Ghanaians.

The lack of credibility, he said, has culminated in Ghanaians always doubting assurances from the government on specific matters.

The continuous deception of the citizenry by the government through unfulfilled promises, he added, has contributed to the fast waning of confidence in the administration.

"We don't trust ourselves, we don't trust the government, and we don't trust anything…as soon as they begin to talk, I begin to know what they will talk about…," he said.

Dr. Amoako Baah who was speaking on assurances by the government over the Sodom and Gomorrah demolition on Accra-based Atinka FM said the residents are refusing to heed to pleas by the government because the government in recent times have failed to fulfill numerous promises made to the citizenry.

"And it is because of this that the people could not even trust the AMA that the demolition was only going to structures which are closer to the Korle Lagoon…," he said.
